Steven Schonberger, AIA
Steve has more than 30 years of experience in higher education programming, planning, and project management. He has directed teams for a variety of educational facilities, including teaching, research, student support, and residence life. He has developed classrooms and laboratories that support new teaching and learning paradigms. He has explored with his clients the unique qualities that make residence halls on their campus successful for every student cohort, from first-year through upper division to graduate students.
Steve’s strengths lie in his ability to organize and prioritize the numerous disparate management issues during the programming, planning, and design phases of a project. His extensive experience on a variety of large and small projects has given him the ability to manage complex and challenging projects in an effective and enjoyable manner. He is known for establishing clear lines of communication between client, user groups, and the project team. Steve brings to every initiative a positive, consensus-building approach in working with people of differing priorities and needs.
